Progent Team Portal — Account Security SMS Notifications

Program Description

Progent Team Portal uses SMS text messaging to deliver security-related notifications to authorized users of the application. SMS messages are sent exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) verification codes during login
  • Password reset verification codes
  • Account security alerts

These messages are transactional in nature and are sent only in direct response to actions initiated by the user. No marketing, promotional, or advertising messages will be sent.

Opt-In / Consent (Call to Action)

By providing your mobile phone number and enabling SMS-based two-factor authentication, you expressly consent to receive text messages from Progent Team Portal at the phone number you provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of any goods or services. You may use alternative authentication methods (authenticator app, email-based 2FA) without providing a phone number.

How you opt in — all consent methods:

1. Web-based opt-in (primary method): You opt in when you (a) sign in to Progent Team Portal, (b) navigate to your account settings, (c) enter your mobile phone number in E.164 format (e.g., +15551234567), and (d) select “SMS” as your preferred two-factor authentication method. Completing these steps constitutes your express written consent to receive SMS messages from Progent Team Portal.

2. Administrator-initiated opt-in: A system administrator may configure SMS-based 2FA for your account. In this case, you will be prompted to provide your phone number during your next login, at which point entering your number and completing the verification constitutes your consent.

3. Login-time phone entry: If SMS-based 2FA is required but no phone number is on file, you will be prompted to enter your mobile phone number during the login process. Entering your number and submitting the form constitutes your consent to receive SMS messages for authentication purposes.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your authentication activity. You will typically receive one (1) SMS message each time you log in with two-factor authentication enabled, or when you request a password reset. No recurring or scheduled messages are sent.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. SMS delivery is subject to your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates. Please consult your wireless plan or contact your carrier for details about your text messaging plan.

Opt-Out Instructions

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any SMS message received from Progent Team Portal. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent unless you re-enroll.
  • Update your account settings to remove your phone number or switch to an alternative authentication method (e.g., authenticator app or email-based 2FA).
  • Contact your system administrator to disable SMS-based two-factor authentication on your account.

Supported Carriers

SMS messaging is supported on all major U.S. carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and their MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your phone number is collected solely for the purpose of delivering security-related SMS messages. Your phone number and messaging data will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are stored securely within the application’s user database and are accessible only to authorized system administrators.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
